Vintage Winter

Happy New Year 2012!! I hope everyone had a great and safe holiday. Just a quick story about this card. For Christmas my sweet husband surprised me with a computerized sewing machine. I had my eye on this sewing machine since early September.  What a surprise. Hubby and I never exchange gifts for Christmas. Everyday is Christmas and we are very blessed. Anyway this is my first card I did sewing on. Still on training wheels. It is very addicting to say the least. Ok don’t laugh. My mom is a seamstress what happened to me. LOL. She taught me how to sew when I was small. I have to tell you I was board but, I am glad she showed me. It made my sewing journey a little bit easier. Thanks mom. Now I know hubby is thinking. I am going to make him some golf covers for his clubs. LOL.

This card size is 6 x 6. The image I used is Served with Love by Whimsy Stamps. I colored it with Sketch Copic Markers. Colors used. Snowman/Penguin Hats and Scarfs- B95, B93,B91. Snowman/Penguin’s feet, nose and lips- E35, E53, E31,Snowman – C1, BG10, Penguin- C7,C5, C4, C3, Cocoa – E35, Cheeks-R20. Prisma Pencils for shadowing – Slate Grey, Warm Gray.

Dp- Let it Snow by Kelly Pancci. Cardstock Stampin Up-  Bravo Burgundy, Whisper white.  Martha Stewart – Skyland SnowFlake Deep Edge Punch on left side applied Décor Art Glamour Dust. Short story about this Martha Stewart punch. I was in Joanne’s last week and all Martha Stewart Christmas punches were 70%. I got this punch for $5.99 OMW! What a deal. These items were from my stash -Snowflake,Twine, Blue Crystal and brown button, ribbon. WildOrchid and KaiserCraft Flowers applied Twinklets Diamond Dust. KaiserCraft Large Scallop Dollie added a little Glistening Snow-Tex. Nestabilites – Large Scalloped Circles, Flowersoft with Dazzling Diamond Mixture – Snowman PomPon, and Snow, Galmour Dust Glitter around the images, Marshmallows – Liquid Applique, Snowflake left corner – Create A Flake 3 and Martha Stewart Icelandic Punch. This is my first time using Cheesecloth very cool. I am going to use it again. Trying to get out of my comfort zone. Thanks for stopping by.

  14. Kim hunny, this is SO adorable - but I sadly say from Sentimental Sundays that there isn't a Sentiment on it :( So I will just say "Let's Play!" How's that??? Truthfully, your card is stellar. The work put into it is very obvious, the coloring, sparkles and flowers are gorgeous. I wish you the best of success in the challenges. Love and a Hug, Samara - DT Sentimental Sundays.
